In our bravest days

In our early days we would wait by the Hudson River.

Now I'm overwhelmed by your lack of love

we'll watch the leaves change for how many seasons?

And the last time I was in love

was

the

first

that

I was

in LOVE.

In our bravest days we would walk in January.

Overcome by the wintered Earth

will we meet over your cups of tea?

And the last book I've ever read

was while lying

in

her

bed.

"Did you leave the lights on in there?"

You see things no one has ever seen in me.

Overcome by the path we've walked

A rose blooms just once a year, for how many seasons?

And the last time that I'll feel love was while lying in her bed.
